The basic unit of the scheppach Combi System – the hmc 2600 ci planer. The scheppach Combi System is without competition in its machine category, which is also true in respect of the performance of the basic planing and thicknessing machine. At the heart of this machine lies a solid balanced cutterblock seated in maintenance free sealed ball bearings with knives which are quickly and accurately adjustable along the total width of the cutterblock. This perfectly balanced cutterblock shaft also forms the driving system for Combi attachments which are driven independently by a twin belt colour coded drive system with braking device. Two drive speeds are available allowing the cutterblock to work at 6,500 rpm, and the attachments at 3,000 or 6,500 rpm according to suitability of the attachment and/or the project in hand. Unbeatable in-feed drive system. Like all scheppach ?ci? series planers, this machine incorporates the unique drive system of twin rollers with heavy duty vulcanised rubber sleeves (see bottom of page 35). This patented system guarantees an unbeatable finish irrespective of the type of wood being used. This is further enhanced by a constant 5 m/min feed rate and 13,000 cuts per minute. Stock removal when surfacing is via a scale with viewing window. Thanks to integrally mounted ejection chutes for both surface planing and thicknessing, maximum extraction efficiency is achieved; even more so when linked to a scheppach purpose built extractor.

Combi System Accessories

tfe30 spindle moulder attachment

The main 'building blocks' of the tfe30 spindle moulder attachment are the same as the Scheppach dedicated single purpose moulder hf3000. Hence, the table dimensions, tooling capacity and clamping height as just the same. The fence too are harmonised so the tfe30 also has fine adjustment to both fences and the swivelling protection lid makes it possible to change the tooling without disturbing the fence settings. The solid spindle unit with its generous bearings plus the powerful belt transmission guarantee the highest possible performance on the tfe30. A series of exchangeable table insert rings and suction connector are included in the standard equipment.

lbe16 slot mortising attachment

The Scheppach Combi lbe16 slot mortising attachment provides a low cost mortiser for even the smallest workshop. The most striking feature is its ease of operation thanks to its dual lever control. The large work table; the accurate round bar guiding mechanism and generous adjustment range all makes for efficient working. Height is adjusted easily as it works in conjunction with the rise and fall of the thicknessing table. Stops can be used to set longitudinal and latitudinal table movement. The drilling chuck of the precision gear drive is tightened by means of a standard chuck key.
