The secret of the low noise volume is the combined roller chopper principle used in the Lonos. The roller needs only 39 rpm instead of the usual 3,000 rpm. The efficient cutting and feeding sequence is achieved because of the cog effect of the cutting roller. Therefore the quick and effective processing of branches up to 4.5 cm thick - depending on model purchased - is no problem if you have a Lonos.
The enclosed housing contributes considerably to noise insulation. The motor housing; the filler chute, and the ejector, create one soundproof unit.
